Fluent Forms
Use the FormStatus companion plugin when monitoring Fluent Forms on WordPress.
Set up a test
Section titled “Set up a test”- Install and activate the companion plugin.
- Add the public form page and select the correct form.
- Set valid test values for fields with special requirements.
- Enable email testing if you want notification delivery checked, then run a manual test.
Fluent Forms validation and notifications
Section titled “Fluent Forms validation and notifications”The companion integration reports Fluent Forms validation errors and completed submission events. For a missing email, open Settings & Integrations > Email Notifications in the form editor. Ensure the intended notification is enabled and its conditions match the values used by the test.
Fluent Forms uses AJAX submission. Keep its existing submission workflow; a test does not need a separate non-AJAX version.
Test entries and spam checks
Section titled “Test entries and spam checks”For recognized test requests, the integration filters entry data and removes an entry if one was created. Do not assume this reverses actions already sent to a CRM, webhook, or another connected service.
The integration includes test-specific handling for Fluent Forms CAPTCHA, honeypot, token protection, and supported Akismet or CleanTalk checks. Additional security layers and custom validation can still block a monitoring visit.
Multi-step and conditional forms
Section titled “Multi-step and conditional forms”Record the complete path through your form, including Next actions and the values that reveal conditional fields. Review the generated steps after changing a field or page. A pass covers the path you tested rather than every possible branch.
For a complex workflow, make a recording and maintain its custom steps. Review the individual check results and available recording after each change.
