WPForms Lite and Pro
Use the FormStatus companion plugin when monitoring WPForms Lite and Pro on WordPress.
Set up a test
Section titled “Set up a test”- Install and activate the companion plugin.
- Add the public form page and select the correct form.
- Set valid test values for fields with special requirements.
- Enable email testing if you want notification delivery checked, then run a manual test.
WPForms Lite and Pro
Section titled “WPForms Lite and Pro”The companion plugin recognizes both WPForms Lite and Pro. Its integration reports completed processing and errors from both initial validation and AJAX submission. Review required-field values first when the submission check fails.
When email testing is enabled, review the form’s notification settings and conditional rules if the monitoring inbox does not receive a message. A submission pass and an email pass are separate results.
Multi-page forms and entry handling
Section titled “Multi-page forms and entry handling”For a WPForms Pro workflow with page breaks, record each page and any conditional branches used by the test. The worker includes WPForms page-navigation handling, but the test still needs valid values and the correct path through your form.
The companion integration disables the WPForms entry-save hook for recognized test requests. Whether entries are normally stored depends on your WPForms edition and configuration. External add-ons and automations should be checked separately.
Spam protection
Section titled “Spam protection”Test-specific hooks handle WPForms CAPTCHA, honeypot, and direct-post anti-spam controls. If another protection blocks the test, inspect the report and security logs before changing settings. Do not assume a third-party spam add-on uses the same hooks.
For a complex workflow, make a recording and maintain its custom steps. Review the individual check results and available recording after each change.
